Tuesday was a very long day at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper with a slack round in the morning and the first evening performance. On the ladies' side, Wheatland native and LCCC cowgirl Rayne Grant has a time of 28.37 on 2 in the barrel racing and is 15th in the average. Landry Haugen of the University of Wyoming had a 2 and 8 in the breakaway roping on Tuesday night so she is 11th in the average. Yoder, Wyoming native Haiden Thompson who competes for Gillette College has a total time of 13 and 5 in the goat tying and that puts her in 16th in the average.

In the women's team standings, LCCC is 8th, UW is 10th and Gillette College is 23rd.

On the men's side, Ira Dickinson of Rock Springs who competes for Tarleton State gave the Ford Center crowd something to think about with an 84.5 on Tuesday night in the saddle bronc. Dickinson is currently 1st in the aggregate with 234 on 3. James Perrin of Casper College made it 3 for 3 in the saddle bronc with a 73.5 on Tuesday so he is 2nd in the average with 216.

Over in the bareback, Chase Siemens of Casper College rang up a 65 in the 3rd go and is 2nd in the average with 218 on 3. Kaden Berger of the University of Wyoming had a nice effort on Tuesday night in the steer wrestling with a 5 and 7 so he is 7th in the average.

In the men's team standings, Gillette College is 4th, UW 10th, and Casper College 12th. The CNFR will have nightly performances for the rest of the week at 7 pm with the championship short-go set for Saturday.
