Have you ever been to the Cheyenne Zombie FEST?

This year's Cheyenne Zombie FEST kicks off with a horror film fest at the Atlas Theatre Friday and Saturday evenings featuring locally made films.

The September zombie season gets underway this weekend with events on Friday and Saturday nights at the historic Atlas Theatre, 217 W. Lincolnway, leading up to the fifth annual Cheyenne Zombie FEST on Saturday, September 19.

Friday, September 11, catch the one-man show, 'Death of Brian: A Zombie Odyssey,' and 'Death of Brian 2: The Ides of Undead March,' starting at 7:30 p.m. You can make it a double feature for $15 or see just one of the films for $10.

The Horror Film Fest continues on Saturday, September 12, at 5 p.m. with a couple movies featuring local talent. 'The Ghost of Johnson Woods,' directed by Glenn Bergoenz of Colorado, will be shown as well as the 10th anniversary screening of 'Wicked Season,' Cheyenne's local telling of the hauntings of the Atlas Theatre. Admission for both movies is just $5. The films are intended for audiences over 18 years of age due to adult language and situations, horror and gore effects, nudity and sexual situations.

You can reserve your tickets online at the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players website. These events and the annual Cheyenne Zombie FEST are fund raisers for the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players.
