Cheyenne police are working to find the source of two hoax bomb threats.

According to a department Facebook post, officers were called to Cheyenne Regional Airport and Frontier Mall around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, after both locations received bomb threats via email.

"Both locations were cleared with no evidence of an explosive device," the post reads.

The Investigation is Ongoing

When asked Wednesday whether the hoax bomb threats came from the same IP address, Public Information Officer Alex Farkas said, "That information is part of the investigation. I'm unable to release further details at this time."

Farkas says detectives are working to follow up on all leads.
