Cheyenne Woman Issued 16 Tickets in I-25, I-80 Chases
A 29-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a slew of charges following two separate interstate chases this week.
Natasha Patnode was arrested late last (Tuesday) night, after leading troopers on a roughly 30-mile, high-speed chase along Interstate 80.
Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Kyle McKay says troopers had tried to stop Patnode on Monday after they observed her traveling 104 mph in a 75 mph zone on Interstate 25, but she fled south into Colorado and the pursuit was called off.
"Then on April 10, troopers attempted to stop Patnode after they observed her on Leisher Road in Cheyenne for speeding in a 30 mph zone," said McKay. "She drove onto I-80 east where the troopers continued to attempt to pull her over."
Patnode reportedly blew through multiple stop signs, drove in the median, drove eastbound in the westbound lanes, littered and resisted arrest after crashing her car at the Egbert exit.
"During the pursuit a trooper's vehicle did sustain damage and the trooper was treated for minor injuries," said McKay. "Patnode was treated for her injuries at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center."
Patdone was issued 16 citations and was also arrested on a warrant for child endangerment, stemming from a March 29 incident in which she allegedly abandoned her four children at All About Me Childcare.
According to an affidavit, the oldest child told the daycare owner that his mother was "using drugs again."
The boy also said that Patdone had allowed numerous strange men in their house and that he had recently witnessed a man "smoking weed" in the laundry room.
Patnode is currently jailed on a $10,000 cash bond. Her arraignment is scheduled for May 8 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
