Both were booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

The theft is alleged to have occurred on or about Saturday, Jan. 31, to Friday, Feb. 6.

Deen was also charged with misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to one year in jail, up to a $1,000 fine, or both.

Initial Court Appearances

On the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 10, Muslet and Deen were seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on their charges.

"I wasn't actually aware that the vehicle was stolen," Muslet told Williams. "I was just taking a ride."

Williams appointed each of them a public defender and set their preliminary hearings for Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 3:45 p.m.

She then asked for the state's position regarding bond.

"I have reviewed Ms. Muslet's criminal history and there's a lot of different concerning behaviors," the state said. "I would note that there are several prior convictions and charges for possessions of various controlled substances."

"The booking sheet is concerning, indicating that she has no permanent address, and that apparently, she believes that she's some sort of deity," the state added. "I would note the prior contacts for domestic violence and things of that nature. The state believes that $5,000 cash is appropriate in this matter."

Muslet's Bond Set at $5,000 Cash

Williams then set her bond at $5,000 cash.

"I believe that Mr. Deen is being revoked on a burglary from 2023, that he has an open theft in a burglary case," the state said, saying it believed $20,000 cash would be required in his case.

"Given Mr. Deen's history of failures to appear, failures to comply. My understanding is that he was getting ready to go into treatment court and was arrested on these new charges," the state added.

Based on Deen's criminal history, Williams went ahead and set his bond at $10,000 cash.

Third Arrest

Then, at 3:40 p.m. that afternoon, a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy arrested 58-year-old Trinee Sue Seymour at a home in the 2400 block of East Riding Club Road on a warrant for felony theft.

Initial Court Appearance

Seymour was seen in Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charge on Thursday, Feb. 12.

"I'm not guilty of it," Seymour told Forwood.

Forwood appointed her a public defender then asked the state for their recommendation on bond.

"Ms. Seymour has a pretty limited criminal history, some probation, some probation violations," the state said. "Understanding the circumstances surrounding this one, I think she was with another individual who was the primary culprit of this theft of the U-Haul, but with all that, the state's going to ask for a $1,500 cash or surety."

Seymour's Bond Set at $1,500 Cash or Surety

"I think $1,500 cash or surety if fair under the circumstances," said Forwood, setting Seymour's preliminary hearing for Friday, Feb. 20, at 10:30 a.m.

Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
