UPDATE:

Police have identified the woman killed in Tuesday morning's crash at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Hayes Avenue as 81-year-old Clara Newton of Cheyenne.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says Newton was riding in a Polaris Ranger side-by-side that was headed north on Hayes, when the driver entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound Range Rover.

The impact caused the Polaris to overturn, and Newton was partially ejected.

"Newton sustained serious injuries in the crash and could not be revived," said Malatesta.

The driver and passenger of the Range Rover were taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment and the driver of the Polaris was treated at the scene.  Malatesta says all four were buckled up.

Malatesta says officers are still piecing together the crash and have yet to determine what, if any, traffic violations occurred.

"A Range Rover was headed westbound on U.S. 30 and this other vehicle, a side-by-side, was headed northbound on Hayes when the two vehicles collided," he said.
