Cheyenne Police Cracking Down on Fourth of July Drunk Driving
Many will celebrate the Fourth of July with a cold one and Cheyenne police will be out in full force to deter people from driving drunk.
"We will have our DUI task force out this weekend looking for impaired drivers," said Officer Kevin Malatesta. "The task force will begin on Thursday, July 4."
"We know that there will be people enjoying Independence Day, grilling, hanging out with family, doing all those kinds of things, but inevitably with that there will be people drinking alcohol," he added. "So we want to remind everybody to be safe (and) responsible."
Malatesta urges people to call 911 or local law enforcement if they suspect someone is driving drunk.
