Cheyenne Police say that while they dealt with slightly fewer incidents during Cheyenne Frontier Days this year, they made 46 percent more arrests

Thats according to a CPD news release. The release says police dealt with 2,447 incidents this year, compared to 2,450 in 2023. But they made almost 50 percent more arrests with 66 this year compared to 45 last year, for a 46 percent increase.

A significant number of this year's arrests were alcohol-related. That included 15 arrests for public intoxication and another 4 for driving under the influence.

Public Intoxication And Active Warrants Most Common Arrests

The other major categories regarding raw numbers were for active warrants, with 15 arrests, seven breaches of peace, four probation and parole violations, and three related to fighting. Arrests were also made for interference with a peace officer.

Smaller numbers of arrests were made for numerous offenses, ranging from domestic violence to unlawful use of 9-1-1.
