The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is calling for unsettled weather and a continuing fire danger for southeast Wyoming over the next few days.

A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect for southwest Carbon County Today.

The agency posted this statement on its website on Thursday:

A few storms may also be strong to severe Thursday and Friday, producing strong gusty winds, heavy rain, hail to the size of quarters, and frequent lightning. Pattern change expected by the end of the weekend with dry and breezy conditions expected Sunday and into next week. Fire weather is a concern for the next week or so.''
