Cheyenne Murder Suspect’s Employers Speak Out
Four days after 21-year-old Victoria Juarez was found murdered in the basement of Anong's in Cheyenne, restaurant owners Brett and Anong Larsen have released the following statement:
We at Anong’s are deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic events that took place on Monday, June 26 in our Cheyenne location. Our thoughts and prayers are with Victoria Juarez and her family. It still does not seem real to us that something this horrific and tragic has occurred in our restaurant.
As this is still an active investigation, we do not wish to give out any details of the crime that might hamper justice being done. I am sorry that statement is so vague. I know that everyone must be wondering how and why this happened. We have been cooperating fully with the Cheyenne police department and I hope that Emigdio Lara is apprehended and brought to justice. All of our staff is grieving and trying their best to carry on. If anyone knows anything of Lara’s whereabouts or anything else that would help in this matter please help the Cheyenne police bring some closure to this case.
Sincerely,
Brett and Anong Larsen
Lara, who's wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder, is a 5-foot-10, Hispanic man weighing about 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the dispatch center at (307) 637-6525 or Detective Johnson at (307) 637-6502.
