Cheyenne Men Charged With Kidnapping
Two Cheyenne men are behind bars after allegedly kidnapping another man for drug money.
36-year-old Joshua Miller and 25-year-old Daniel Garcia were arrested Wednesday night after a Laramie County Sheriff's Department deputy spotted the two holding down 29-year-old Wayne Haubenschild near the intersection of Ridge Road and Four Mile Road.
Haubenschild told the deputy that the two men had confronted him at his house at 6117 Laramie Street and Miller forced him into a black Cadillac SUV.
While driving, Miller confronted Haubenschild about money owed to Miller over a previous drug deal.
Haubenschild jumped out of the SUV in the area of Ridge and Four Mile, but Miller and Garcia were able to catch him. It was shortly after that that the deputy arrived.
The SUV was searched and a backpack containing a small amount of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia was found. Two syringes were also found under the driver's seat.
A search warrant was executed at Miller's house at 1805 Cheyenne Place Thursday afternoon. A .45 semi-auto Springfield handgun, several empty gun cases, ammunition, gun magazines and surveillance equipment was taken.
During the search, 22-year-old Nikko Johnson was located in the house and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery.
Miller and Garcia are being held in the Laramie County jail on charges of kidnapping by force and a misdemeanor charge of possession of methamphetamine.
The case remains under investigation.
