Cheyenne Men Busted for Drugs Following Traffic Stop
Two Cheyenne men are behind bars after police caught them with over a pound of methamphetamine and over an ounce of heroin.
Officer Kevin Malatesta says police stopped 37-year-old Daniel Poynor in the 3900 block of E. 12th Street on June 7.
"While they were conducting that stop, they found a large amount of drugs in the vehicle, that included methamphetamine and heroin," said Malatesta.
"From that stop, officers also contacted 24-year-old Grady Timm and he was also in possession of felony amounts of methamphetamine and heroin," he added.
Both men were arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and heroin. Poynor was also arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
"I don't know if Poynor's prior charges were here in Cheyenne or not," said Malatesta.
The men have yet to make their initial court appearances.
