Cheyenne Man Pleads Not Guilty to Assault, Gun Charges
A 32-year-old Cheyenne man accused of threatening a woman at gunpoint has pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and other gun charges.
Adrian Salinas was charged with aggravated assault in September after he allegedly pointed a cocked handgun at a woman's head and told her, "I'll shoot you."
When Laramie County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested Salinas on February 1, he allegedly had a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun tucked in the waistband of his pants.
He was charged with felony gun possession, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest.
Salinas pleaded not guilty to both sets of charges during his arraignment yesterday (Monday) in Laramie County District Court.
Salinas is being held in the Laramie County Jail on $10,000 cash bond. His trial is tentatively scheduled for early April.
