Cheyenne Man Gets 130 Months in Kidnapping Case
A 27-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced to 130 months in prison for his role in a September 2017 kidnapping.
Cody James Ahrens was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal on Tuesday for seize, confine, kidnap, carry away and hold, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Ahrens and his co-defendant, Ashley Marie Gonzales, were charged federally in December after reportedly kidnapping a woman from a party in Sun Valley on Sept. 1, driving her to a remote spot in Weld County, Colorado and shooting at her.
Gonzales was sentenced to 10 years in prison on June 25.
