A 29-year-old Cheyenne man is facing another DUI charge following a hit-and-run last week.

Court records say Anthony Charles Cordova Garcia was arrested on March 12 after an officer responding to the crash noticed he had a headlight out and was dragging part of his front bumper.

The officer said Garcia smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.

The officer also spotted two glass pipes on the rear floorboard and a green, leafy substance consistent with marijuana or spice shake all over the driver's side floorboard.

A record check confirmed that Garcia was driving with a suspended license because of at least two previous DUIs. He also had a prior conviction for driving while his license was suspended.

While at the jail, Garcia reportedly kicked off his shoe, alerting the officer to a glass pipe that was in it.

Garcia is charged with DUI incapable-fourth offense and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. If convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison.

According to charging documents, Garcia was arrested for DWUI in Larimer County, Colorado on five separate occasions between June 2013 and September 2014.

Garcia's bond was set at $1,000 cash. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 27 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
