Cheyenne Man Faces Additional Drug Charges After Traffic Stop
An 18-year-old Cheyenne man wanted for felony possession of marijuana is facing additional drug charges after police found marijuana and LSD on him.
According to an affidavit, Kayleb Reed was riding in a pickup on Feb. 26 when police pulled the driver over for an equipment violation and smelled marijuana.
When police searched Reed, they found a small jewelry box containing small squares of LSD in his pants pocket. A small amount of marijuana was also found in his backpack.
Reed reportedly told police that the LSD was for his personal use. He also admitted to having a "bag of weed" in his underwear.
Reed, who was being sought on a felony possession of marijuana warrant stemming from a Dec. 17 traffic stop, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and LSD. If convicted on all three charges, he could face up to seven years in prison.
Reed is currently jailed on a $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 8 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
