A Cheyenne man is facing up to ten years in prison after throwing a brick at a woman during a bar fight.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Dan Long says police were called to the Green Door Lounge shortly after midnight on Saturday.

"Officers found out that 33-year-old Gary Villeneuve had started a disturbance inside the bar and had been kicked out," said Long. "The disturbance moved outside into the parking lot and Villeneuve grabbed a brick and threw it at an employee of the Green Door, hitting her in the arm."

"I think it (the brick) did some damage," added Long. "They said it (the woman's arm) may have even been broken, they weren't sure, but they didn't transport her."

Villeneuve was arrested for aggravated assault. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 26 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
