Cheyenne Man Bound Over on Sex Abuse Charge

A 37-year-old Cheyenne man has been bound over to Laramie County District Court on a charge of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

According to preliminary hearing testimony, Brandon A. Lewis allegedly made a 12-year-old girl masturbate him three times.

District Attorney Jeremiah Sandburg says the sexual abuse is alleged to have occurred during February of last year.

Lewis was also facing a count of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor, but Circuit Court Judge Denise Nau dismissed the charge saying "there's no way" the story presented in court -- that Lewis pressed his penis against a 13-year-old girl's foot while she was lying on a couch and he was standing next to her -- could have happened.

Lewis continues to be held on $10,000 cash bond. He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
