A 29-year-old Cheyenne man is facing several charges after allegedly driving a cart down a  moving walkway at Buffalo Niagara International Airport at 1 a.m. on Monday

That's according to a Buffalo tv station, WIVB. Townsquare Media of Cheyenne verified the story with a public Information Officer with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, which oversees the airport,

According to the report, 29-year-old Kevin Sinning jumped on an unattended Prime Flight cart for unknown reasons and drove it down a moving walkway, damaging both the cart and the walkway.

Report Says Man Appeared To Be Intoxicated

The report says Sinning ''appeared intoxicated" when he was arrested.

The tv station says Sinning is charged with

  • third-degree grand larceny
  • second-degree criminal mischief
  • disorderly conduct
  • criminal nuisance
  • criminal possession of stolen property greater than $3,000

Under New York State Law, the larceny charge could carry a penalty of up to seven years in prison. But if the person has a prior felony conviction the sentence could be as much as 10 years in prison.

The stolen property charge is also a felony and also carries a potential penalty of up to 7 years in prison.

 The airport is located in Cheektowaga, New York. It has two runways and a 24 gate terminal.
