Cheyenne, Laramie Under High Wind Warning, 60-70 MPH Winds
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says wind gusts of over 70 miles per hour have already been recorded in southeast Wyoming, and similar gusts are possible into Thursday morning.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Dec 18th Morning Update: High Wind Warning has been extended to include most of southeast Wyoming starting at 3 PM and continuing through tonight. Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph are expected for Rawlins, Laramie, Cheyenne, and Douglas. Winds gusts have already exceeded 70 MPH over the wind prone areas this morning and will likely continue to do so today and tonight.
