The intersection of 24th Street and Reed Avenue will be closed starting today (June 26) as part of the Capitol Basin 26th Street Interceptor Storm Sewer Project.

The closure is weather permitting, according to a release from the City of Cheyenne. Detours will be posted and the intersection is tentatively scheduled to re-open on July 21.

The Capitol Basin Project is designed to improve stormwater drainage and upgrade residential water lines.

The $3.4 million project is scheduled to be finished sometime in November and end at the intersection of 26th Street and O'Neil Avenue. Simon Contractors is the contractor for the project.
