A Cheyenne street will close for about three days starting on Monday for a valve repair project.

The street will be open as usual except when the work is in progress.

Officials are trying to determine how a "significant amount" of mercury ended up on a street and sidewalk in south Cheyenne.

The work will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and is expected to continue for 10-15 days.

Rue Terre will be closed while the work is done.

The closure is expected to last almost a month.

The closure is expected to remain in effect through April 25
