Cheyenne Hospital Recognized For Heart Attack Care
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has been recognized with the American College of Cardiology's Platinum Performance Achievement Award.
CRMC was one of 193 hospitals across the country to receive the award in 2017.
According to a CRMC release, the hospital has "demonstrated sustained achievement in the American College of Cardiology’s ACTION Registry for eight consecutive quarters and has performed at the top level of standards for specific performance measures."
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that more than 700,000 Americans suffer a heart attack every year.
CRMC's cardiology services and coronary interventional procedures were both ranked in the top 10 percent in the country this year, according to Healthgrades, a national hospital quality rating organization.
