Two of the three Cheyenne high school football teams are at home tonight in the third game of the season.

In a clash of unbeaten and ranked teams, fourth-rated Thunder Basin High School takes its 2-0 record on the road for a battle with Cheyenne East at 7 p.m. at Okie Blanchard Stadium. East is coming off of a 15-7 victory over Casper Kelly Walsh, while Thunder Basin defeated Cheyenne South last week 28-6.

Thunder Basin, by the way, is a newly-opened high school in Campbell County.

Meanwhile, the Cheyenne South Bison will be trying to break into the win column tonight at 7 p.m. as they host fifth-ranked Casper Kelly Walsh. Both teams are coming off losses, with South losing last week to Thunder Basin 28-6 while Kelly Walsh was losing a hard fought battle to East by a 15-7 score.

The Bison will try to clamp down on a bone-crushing Kelly Walsh ground game that has averaged 254 yards per game in its first two contests. Kickoff is tonight at 6 p.m. at Bison Stadium.

Cheyenne Central is on the road against the Rock Springs Tigers tonight. Rock Springs pounded Laramie last week 51-29 after losing their season opener to Sheridan 51-0. Central fell to top-ranked Sheridan last week by a 37-7 score.

Central will be trying to run their season record to 2-1 with a win.
