Cheyenne Man Facing Felony Charges After Alleged Gun Threat
A 47-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony charges after allegedly threatening a female with a gun and restraining her.
According to a booking sheet, police arrested Dax Padilla at a home in the 1900 block of Bradley Avenue at 9:59 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.
It's alleged Padilla threatened the victim (M.S.) with a gun and restrained her in circumstances exposing her to risk of serious bodily injury.

Padilla was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - threatens with a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison; and felonious restraint, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
Initial Court Appearance
On Wednesday, Oct. 22, Padilla was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the charges.
Williams appointed Padilla a public defender and his preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 1:30 p.m.
Williams then asked for the state's position regarding bond.
"Mr. Padilla has minimal history," the state said. "I do see a prior domestic related charge from last year involving the same victim. That case was dismissed for medical reasons, however, the increasing degree of conduct and behavior towards this victim gives the state extreme concerns for her safety."
"The fact that a gun was used in this matter and threats were made gives the state further concern for not only her safety but also the safety of the community," the state added. "The state believes that a cash bond is appropriate and would request a $5,000 cash bond."
Bond Set at $5K Cash
"Your bond is $5,000 cash," Williams told Padilla. "If you post that I'll set your bond conditions."
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
