All three of Cheyenne's high school football teams take the field tonight on Wyoming Class 4A action.

The third-ranked Cheyenne East Thunderbirds will try to run their season record to 7-1 tonight when they host 4-3 Rock Springs at 6 p.m. at Okie Blanchard Stadium. East, coming off a big win against arch-rival Cheyenne Central, will face the challenge of stopping a Tigers offense that is capable of moving the ball both on the ground and through the air. Rock Springs will be trying to rebound from a 42-25 loss to Thunder Basin last week.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne Central (1-6) faces the difficult task of trying to slow down second-ranked Casper Natrona (6-1). Natrona thrashed Casper Kelly-Walsh last week 31-0, while Central fell to arch-rival East by a 28-17 score. Kickoff is tonight at 6 p.m. at Milt Riske Field.

Cheyenne South will try to break into the win column tonight at Campbell County in a battle of 0-7 teams. Both teams are coming off losses last week, with South losing to Laramie 27-8 while the Camels were at the wrong end of a 72-7 loss to Sheridan. Kickoff is tonight at 6 p.m. at Camel Stadium.
