Cheyenne Facing Strong Winds, Freezing Temperatures
The area of southeast Wyoming covered by a High Wind Watch has now been expanded, and some areas have been upgraded to a High Wind Warning since earlier today [Nov. 18].
Cheyenne, which was not previously included in the watch area, is now under a High Wind Watch, according to a map on the Cheyenne National Weather Service website.
Much Colder Temperatures On Tuesday
The city will also see colder temperatures, with high temperatures possibly not cracking the freezing mark on Tuesday, according to the weather service.The agency posted the following on its website:

Here’s a look at the week ahead in Cheyenne! The biggest weather impact throughout the week will be the wind. Windy to breezy conditions are expected today through Thursday, with high winds possible this afternoon and into the evening. A cold front will follow leading to cold temperatures that may not exceed freezing on Tuesday. After that, a ridge of high pressure will build in, leading to minimal precipitation chances and warm temperatures for the end of the week.
