The Cheyenne City Council will be interviewing candidates for the vacant Ward I Council Seat over the next couple of weeks.

The seat became vacant with the death of long-time council member Scott Roybal in September.

List Of Candidates, Interview Times

The first round of interviews will be conducted on October 28 and 29. Here is that interview schedule:

Tuesday, Oct. 28

1 p.m. – Aaron Fiore

1:30 p.m. – James Byrd

2 p.m. – Linda Burt

2:30 p.m. – Michael Reyes

3 p.m. – David Cook

3:30 p.m. – Travis French

4 p.m. – Lawrence Wolfe

Wednesday, Oct. 29

1 p.m. – Maren Kallas

1:30 p.m. – Tamara Trujillo

2 p.m. – John Romero

2:30 p.m. – JC Manalo

3:30 p.m. – Josalyn Reynolds

4 p.m. – Stefanie Boster

After the first round, Ward I council members Pete Laybourn and Jeff White will privately discuss the candidates and schedule a second round of interviews for the finalists. After those interviews, White and Laybourn will then decide on either one or two candidates.

Their choice(s) will then go before the full city council at its November 10 meeting for a final decision.

The interviews will be held at the Cheyenne Kiwanis Community House. The public will be allowed to watch, but not to comment.

The person chosen will fill out the remainder of Roybal's term, which ends in January of 2027  They will also be eligible to run for re-election to the seat next year.
