Cheyenne Council Approves City Engineer Appointment
The Cheyenne City Council on Monday night unanimously approved Mayor Marian Orr's appointment of Thomas Cobb as city engineer.
A University of Wyoming graduate, Cobb has worked for over 28 years in Wyoming and Colorado in both the public and private sectors.
"He’s well-respected in the business community and his experience is exceptional," said Orr. "He inherits a great staff and I have full confidence in our engineering department."
Orr says Cobb's leadership comes at a critical time as the city continues work on the Christensen Overpass, the extension of a major stormwater drainage system through the capitol complex area and the creation of a joint city-county stormwater drainage master plan.
"As Cheyenne continues to grow, so do the complexities of our infrastructure and transportation needs," said Orr. "Tom will lead us well into the future."
