
Cheyenne City Administrator Election Tuesday
Cheyenne voters will go to the polls on Tuesday to decide whether to keep the current form of city government with an elected mayor making most day to day governing decisions, or to create the position of a city administrator to handle many of those duties.
The administrator be in charge of hiring department heads for city agencies, in addition to other day-to-day decisions. The administrator would be appointed by the city council.
The proposal has been approved by the Cheyenne City Council, but the voters will have the final word on the issue.
If it wins approval in the special election it would take effect in 2017. Here are the polling locations for the special election:
