Security Footage Leads to Arrest in Local Home Burglary
A 31-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars' worth of property from a neighbor down the street.
The Incident
According to the Laramie County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred on the morning of Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, in the 3000 block of Terry Road.
"Items taken included a 65” TV, a PlayStation, a blue Nike backpack, and two safes," the LCSO said in a Facebook post.

Caught on Camera
Thanks to home security footage, the LCSO says the homeowner was able to identify the suspect as Isaiah Angel Valero.
When deputies attempted to contact Valero at his camper in the 3100 block of Terry Road, they reportedly spotted the stolen backpack and one of the stolen safes sitting in his yard.
The Arrest
"Deputies surrounded the location," the post reads. "A short time later, Valero tried to flee through a back window and was quickly taken into custody. A search warrant was served on the camper, leading to the recovery of most of the remaining stolen items."
Charged With Burglary and Felony Theft
Valero was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with burglary and felony theft, both crimes punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Initial Court Appearance
On Tuesday, Jan. 6, Valero was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the charges.
Williams appointed Valero a public defender and set his preliminary hearing for Friday, Jan. 16, at 10:30 a.m.
Williams then asked for the state's position regarding bond.
"(He) has a substantial history of failures to appear, probation violations, he's listed in a couple of places in the NCIC as a fugitive from justice, (and has) prior theft convictions, one of which is a felony theft from just 2024," the state said. "In light of these factors, your honor, the state would recommend a $15,000 cash bond."
Bond Set at $5K Cash
"The court, based on the nature of the offense and the criminal history, will go ahead and set bond at $5,000 cash," Williams told Valero. "If you post that I'll set your bond conditions, otherwise, go ahead and give the public defender's office a call tomorrow or Thursday."
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
