Cheyenne BOPU Reports Possible Discolored Water, Says It Is Safe
The Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities [BOPU] says that while Cheyenne-area residents may notice discolored water today, they should not be concerned about the safety of the water.
That is according to a BOPU news release.
The Discoloration Is Related To A New Water Tank
According to the release, the discoloration is a result of the filling of North City Water Storage Tank today. The release says that while the water is ''not Cheyenne’s usual standard for water quality, it is safe.''
It advises people who want to get rid of the discolored water to run cold water from the tap for about 20-30 minutes, starting with the lowest level of your home or business and then moving upwards.
The release also advises against doing laundry or using hot water while the water is discolored.
