Beep, Beep -- Busted!

"While they were waiting to execute that warrant, they came in contact with ... Bahner who was actually leaving the back side of the trailer," Sheriff Brian Kozak said Monday afternoon, Sept. 8, in a briefing published on the department's Facebook page.

Kozak says Bahner had a key fob in his backpack which unlocked the stolen car.

"As a result of their investigation, they also took ... Paiva into custody, who was also related to the stolen car," said Kozak.

Search Warrant Leads to Meth, Fentanyl

"After executing the search warrant, they took ... Lick into custody related to the drugs that were in the mobile home," he added. "In all, they seized 11 grams of methamphetamine (and) 40 fentanyl pills."

Bahner was subsequently charged with felony theft, Lick with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of fentanyl, and Paiva with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony theft, misdemeanor possession of fentanyl, and misdemeanor theft.
