Cheyenne Woman Faces Serious Charges After Recent Arrest
A 46-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing felony charges after reportedly, once again, being caught with drugs.
Alcohol-Related Arrest Leads to Felony Drug Charges
According to a booking sheet, police arrested Nadina Jean Ward at West Lincolnway and O'Neil Avenue at 6:02 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, for public intoxication and open container.

Ward also allegedly had cocaine on her and took it into the Laramie County Detention Center.
Due to previous convictions from Jan. 31, 2003, May 29, 2014, and April 20, 2016, Ward was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, up to a $5,000 fine, or both.
She was also charged with taking a controlled substance into jail, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison, up to a $3,000 fine, or both.
Initial Court Appearance
On Thursday, Sept. 25, Ward was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charges.
Forwood appointed Ward a public defender and asked the state for recommendation on bond.
"In light of the nature of the offense and the potential penalty it carries and the history, the state's going to recommend a $2,000 cash bond," the state said.
Bond Set at $2K Cash
Ward asked Forwood if there was any way she could get it "down a little bit," but Forwood said he felt $2,000 cash was appropriate considering the circumstances of the offense and her previous convictions.
Ward's next court date will be a preliminary hearing on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 3 p.m.
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
