UPDATE: Stolen City Truck Being Linked to Escaped Wyoming Inmates
Authorities believe two inmates who escaped from the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle Sunday night may be in a stolen city truck.
According to Weston County Emergency Management's Facebook page, a City of Newcastle work truck was confirmed stolen Monday morning.
The truck has a tan cab with a yellow mini light bar on the roof and unit #71 on both sides near the doors. It also has a white utility bed with tool box compartments filled with tools.
Authorities say there's a good chance inmates Jason Green and Robert Simpson may have left the area in the truck.
Anyone who sees the truck or the men should call local law enforcement immediately.
Robert Simpson is described as 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.
Simpson was sentenced in 2012 to five to 15 years for aggravated burglary with a weapon. He's believed to have left the facility with a black lab mix dog.
Jason Green, 48, is described as white, 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes.
Green was sentenced in 2015 to three to eight years for larceny.
Both inmates were discovered missing around 10:30 p.m. following count. Local law enforcement have been notified and area residents alerted.
Simpson and Green should be considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees the men should call local law enforcement immediately.
