Strong Winds will continue to buffet southeast Wyoming through Tuesday, according to the Cheyenne Office of the

">National Weather Service.

Cheyenne is under a High Wind Warning, while Laramie is facing a High Wind Watch.

The weather service issued a detailed packet outlining the situation this morning.

Key Messages

➔ Sustained winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 65 mph for much of Southeast Wyoming.

➔ Wind Prone areas, Gap Wind areas, and Ridge Tops could have wind gusts upwards of 70-80 mph at times.

The agency posted the following on its website:

High Wind Warnings in effect until 11 PM Tuesday for Rawlins, Arlington, Douglas, Wheatland, Torrington, Cheyenne and the I-80 Summit for sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph gusting 60 to 75 mph. High Wind Watches in effect for Laramie, Pine Bluffs, Scottsbluff, Kimball and the western Nebraska Panhandle until 11 PM Tuesday.
