60 MPH Wind Gusts, Blowing Snow to Impact SE Wyo. Today-Tuesday
Strong winds combined with recent snow could cause additional travel hazards along Interstate 80 near Arlington and Interstate 25 near Bordeaux today through Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued the following statement Monday morning:
High Wind Warnings have been posted for Arlington on Interstate 80 and Bordeaux on Interstate 25 from 11 AM today through 5 AM Tuesday. Look for the low pressure that brought us the snow yesterday and this morning to depart to the east. High pressure behind this departing low will begin to increase winds at Arlington and Bordeaux as it moves into the area. With recent snowfall, these strong winds could create some blowing and drifting snow that could cause additional travel hazards. At this time, Interstate 80 remains closed westbound due to crews continuing to clear snow off the road and crashes from yesterday. Please follow WYDOT's Road Condition Report at wyoroad.info/pls/Brows/WRR.STATIC5?SelectedDistrict=1 to get the latest updates on the status of I-80.
