
$200K Worth Of Equipment Stolen In Brazen Weld County Theft
The Weld County Sheriff's Office is trying to find out who stole around $200,000 worth of equipment from a location near Johnstown, Colo. earlier this week.
That's according to a post on the Weld County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
According to the post, deputies were called to an oil and gas site in rural Weld County near Johnstown around 7:20 a.m. Monday on a report that someone had dumped some equipment there, causing about $5,000 worth of damage. Investigators determined that the equipment had been stolen around midnight from another business in the area.
Deputies looking into the case looked at several pieces of surveillance video taken at the time of the theft.
