Wyo. Senate Debates Gay Marriage Ban; House Committee Passes Fuel Tax Hike
The State Senate took testimony Wednesday on a Constitutional Amendment that would specify Wyoming not recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere. The House also considered hiking the fuel tax. Rep. Lorraine Quarberg (R-28), Chairwoman of the House Transportation Committee, was one of several members who voted against the bill, which would raise the state's gas tax by 10 cents in 3 years.
