Wyoming’s Senators Support Nomination of Greg Phillips to 10th Circuit Court [VIDEO]

Both of Wyoming's U.S. Senators spoke highly of state Attorney General Greg Phillips' qualifications to serve as a federal appeals court judge at a confirmation hearing Tuesday. President Barack Obama has nominated Phillips for a seat on the 10th U.S. Court of Appeals in Denver. Phillips, a Democrat, has been Wyoming's attorney general since March 2011. Republican Wyoming Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso of Wyoming told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Phillips has the necessary legal experience and the proper temperament for the job. The committee will vote in coming weeks whether to recommend Phillips' confirmation by the full U.S. Senate. Phillips previously served as a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Cheyenne and also worked as a lawyer for the state and in private practice in Cheyenne.
