Today is a beautiful day in Cheyenne, so that means many people are out and about starting their garden projects for the Summer. Don't wait until the last minute to do this.  Any gardener, or dare I say Master Gardener, will tell you that this is the time of year to start getting your potential garden areas ready for summer growth.

If you're planning a vegetable garden, make sure you plant them in a place that can get anywhere from 5 to 6 hours of sun a day. Just make sure that when the sun is at it's peak, that there is enough shade to keep the plants from scorching.

What's nice about planting flowers, is that you can pick from a variety of different species that do well in shade or in sunlight. Some are more hearty and some have to be babied because they are more fragile.

So before you even start digging, make sure you figure out what you want to plant and where you want to plant them. Hopefully you will have great success this spring.
