Gardening and seed planting is something that can really be done all year around. Take advantage of the Botanic Gardens lecture series this weekend.   Cheyenne is very blessed to even have a botanic garden, especially with a town its size. Shane Smith, Director of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, was telling me about the "Gardening with Altitude Lecture Series."

The group is sponsored by the Laramie County Master Gardeners and the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens. The next event takes place on Saturday, February 28 at 1 p.m. and is held in the Cotton Room at the Laramie County Library.

This week will feature a lecture entitled, "The Ins and Outs of See Propagation" by Denver Botanic Garden Creator and Horticulturist, Mike Bone. Mike will teach on how to grow your own seeds out of the comfort of your own home and save money too!

The lectures sell out pretty fast so if you want to go, you need to purchase your tickets in advance. The tickets are only $15 per lecture and can be purchased here: Brown Paper Tickets. When you go to the ticket site, don't forget to punch in the key word: Gardening with Altitude.

You can also call the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens at 307-637-6458 and ask Darcee Snider for more information. Happy Planting!
