BLM: Welcomes Recommendations From Scientists on Managing Wild Horses [AUDIO]

Rocky Mountain Power says proposed federal environmental regulations could close many of its coal fired power plants in Wyoming early. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) says it welcomes recommendations fro a panel of scientists to change the way the agency manages wild horses.

Gov. Matt Mead Says EPA’s Proposed Rules Bad News for Wyoming

Governor Matt Mead, in news release,  said that the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed standards for power plant emissions could be "very hurtful to Wyoming " and the entire country. Mead said the proposal likely means that there would be no new coal fired power plants built unless they have carbon capture and sequestration capabilities. Governor Mead said this is concerning because about 40% of the nation’s power comes from coal.  He said Wyoming will look at the proposal closely.
