Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce President and C-E-O Dale Steenburgen says he has some concerns about the new city building code. Steenburgen says that while the intention of the new code is to improve safety and clarify city regulations, he's concerned the end result will be increased costs and over regulation of business. Steenburgen says the problem often lies with those charged with enforcing the city codes, who may interpret the law differently than was originally intended. Steenburgen  says one of the things that make Cheyenne attractive to new businesses is a friendly regulatory climate, and he doesn't want to see that change. Steenburgen also says several chamber members have concerns about the new code.
