The Downtown Development Authority/Main Street has received a $10,000 grant to help local artists find a space to set up shop, so they can draw and paint as they see fit.

Some people in Cheyenne believe that artists should tackle their craft like any other entrepreneur, by knowing their markets, meeting the demands and sustain themselves accordingly.

The DDA has given approval for their staff to look for a suitable space for artists to go for the project.

What do you think? Should artists find the right market to sell their work to buyers, just as other creative businesses do? Or should the government subsidize them until further notice?
