The Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority [DDA] is organizing a spring cleanup of downtown Cheyenne for June 2 from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.

Volunteers are being encouraged to bring brooms, dustpans, garden tools and rakes to the DDA office at 1601 Capitol Avenue to help with the effort.

The DDA will also provide gloves, brooms and trash bags. Volunteers will be picking up trash, reporting graffiti, cleaning windows, pulling weeds, sweeping sidewalks and planting flowers.

The DDA is also asking business and property owners to help out by cleaning up their business or property, touching up the paint if needed and updating window displays.

Banners will also be hung in some areas, and the DDA is asking business owners who need professional window cleaning to call Ed Norton at (307) 275-5560 for a DDA discount.

Volunteers who want to help plant flowers or hang banners are being asked to call Esther Gonzales at (307) 433-9730 ext. 1 or email her at esther@downtowncheyenen.com.

After the work is done volunteers will be given lunch at Danielmark's Brewing Company at 209 E. 18th St.
