Seth Ulvestad says he is running for House District 11 in the Wyoming Legislature as a Republican.

That seat is currently held by Rep. Jared Olsen, who recently announced that he will be running for the Wyoming Senate.

In his campaign announcement, Ulvestad says ''Growing up in Wyoming, Ulvestad experienced firsthand many career and educational opportunities to be successful, including working on political campaigns and serving as a high school intern in the Wyoming State Legislature. This upbringing inspired him to pursue public office to ensure those same experiences are available for this and future generations. A Sheridan native, Ulvestad is currently a policy and planning analyst for the State of Wyoming department of Enterprise Technology Services.''

In his announcement, Ulvestad says supporting Wyoming schools, removing regulatory burdens on businesses, and promoting property tax relief are among his top issues.

“Wyoming is the greatest state in the union, and Cheyenne is a beautiful city with a wonderful community. I look forward to representing those values in the state legislature and ensuring our quality of life is available for generations to come” Ulvestad said in his campaign announcement.

Seth Ulvestad is slated to appear on the ''Weekend In Wyoming" program at 11:33 on Saturday, April 13 on AM 650, KGAB.
