Cheyenne Senator Tony Ross (R-SD4) says he will seek re-election to the Wyoming Senate. During his current term, was elected to serve as the Vice-President and Majority Floor Leader of the Senate.  If re-elected, Ross would be in line to become President of the Senate.

He currently co-chairs the Select Committee on Legislative Facilities and serves on the Management Council, Management Audit and Rules Committees.Ross served as Chairman of the Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee during the last two years of his tenure in the House (1995-2004).  In 2005, he began his service in the Senate where he chaired the Judiciary Committee before moving into leadership.

Ross says looking forward, he sees the need for strong leadership to balance his desire for job growth, economic diversification, education improvement and highway funding in the face of looming budget cuts.

Ross, a lifelong resident of Laramie County,  is an attorney in private practice in Cheyenne.
