Safeway Inc. (NYSE:SWY), will again include Special Olympics in their annual promotion to raise funds and support people with disabilities.

Special Olympics Wyoming President & CEO Priscilla Dowse said “Safeway has been an important partner to Special Olympics Wyoming for many years and we are very excited that Safeway and Special Olympics will be working together for the sixth year in this national partnership."

According to a news release the national partnership that covers 22 U.S states, the District of Columbia and locations in Canada where Safeway does business. The community will be able to support Special Olympics Wyoming at their local Safeway in April as part of a customer fundraising campaign where Safeway shoppers will be asked at checkout if they would like to donate $1 or more to support people with disabilities. Over the past five years, the campaign has generated more than $9.3 million for participating Special Olympics Programs.
