October Is Pie Baking Time In Cheyenne – Here Are Some All-Time Favorites
It's getting cooler here in Cheyenne and that means it's time to start baking some of those favorite pies. There's nothing like walking through the door and smelling the aroma of a fresh baked pie in the kitchen. We all have our favorites and 'tis the season to get started. So, today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight some of my all time favorite fall pies.
- Warm-Apple Buttermilk Custard Pie - This is what many would consider a "traditional" apple pie, but with a little extra. Custard. Need I say more?
- Caramel Apple Pie - You probably remember dipping apples in caramel when you were a kid? Well now you can have all of that great, delicious taste in one baked pie.
- Sweet Potato Pie - It's so good that you'll want to slap somebody. Not only is this pie and all-time favorite, but can be healthy eating for you too.
- Yam Pecan Pie - Pecans and yams - my mouth doth water.
- Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie - Who said we have to wait until Thanksgiving? There's more pumpkins in the store than you can shake a tree at. They're looking for a home....in your pie tin!!
Here's how you can easily bake a great Sweet Potato Pie:
